![]() they didn't quite mention where from though. We were told the taxi driver was on his way. My partner booked a private taxi for around £18. We arrived at Palma airport to discover a long queue but assumed this was down to them being reasonable and popular - in my opinion a good sign. The transfers were £16 each the taxi only cost 19 Euro.If your going to El Arenal just forget the transfer and get a taxi, less stress and less money The taxi arrived and took us to the airport and i was still on hold by the time we arrived so i hung up !!!! Thank fully we had no hold luggage and just caught check in. In the mean time my husband and reception thought it wise to call a taxi. I called it and was on hold for 15 mins, a female answered and i explained we still had not been picked up. We went into reception who tried to call their "emergency " number, no reply. pick up was at 7.50pm and we should wait outside the hotel 15 mins prior to this.well at 8.30 still no pick up. No problem, we called and it was all sorted. However we noticed a sign saying they were closed on a sat and sunday so we called on the Friday to confirm and get the time. we were told to call the day before departure to confirm our transfer and time. Only a couple of other people there waiting. Arrived at Mallorca airport, all on time, went to the Mallorca Coaches, Hoppa desk. You deserve it.Booked our holiday through travel republic, normally hire a car but as it was only 4 days we went with the transfer option. In our opinion DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spend the extra Euros on a private concierge service. they must have felt the need to to do this. We have travelled for many years and will NOT experience this again. This is the first and only time we used Hoppa and we will NOT recommend this to anyone travelling within Majorca. What type of attitude is this ? We also met a famly who had to pay over1000 Euros. we met a young couple and the girl was pregnant - they were told to claim their travel insurance and hung up on them. In our opinion the service is absolutely shocking. ( mantra from Hoppa was - claim your travel insurance !!!!!!!!!!!!- what type of company is this. Passengers were crying, we were told we would have to wait until Monday ( as they were still on strike till Monday ) before we got a flight to our destination. We had paid 129 Euros for the return journey, as did many other travellers, and in my opinion, the service was absolutely shocking!!!!!!!! we missed our flight, no taxis in Puerto, we travelled on the local bus to Palma, paid 20 Euros for the taxi ride to the airport when we arrived in Palma and when we got there it was an extra 640 Euros for our flight back to the UK. They had gone on strike on Friday - no text, call or any communication whatsoever.! We waited in the resort from 8.00 a.m. We left Puerto Pollensa on Friday having confirmed our travel as per their instructions for the return journey. Thanks a lot - I won't be using them again. He also pointed to the luggage hold and left us to struggle and load our cases. The hoppa arrived for us about 15 minutes late and we were told off by the driver who said he'd been waiting at the Bahia Pollenca for us and that wasn't where we had been staying! I obviously knew where we'd been staying and wasn't even aware there was another hotel with a similar name! Why would I have given them the wrong hotel name?! The driver was out to argue the toss about this rather than letting us on the bus, even though he had our names on his list. I did that and was told, rather curtly, that I had already phoned and I had to explain that I needed the time for collection. She then said I would have to phone again later to find out what time we would be collected. The person on the phone could not find us on the records for some time but then did find us and I confirmed the name of our hotel (Hostal Bahia). I phoned to confirm our return trip just over 24 hours before we needed collecting. I appreciate that the bus could not get right to the hotel due to pedestrianisation and narrow streets but some indication from the driver as to where we needed to go would have been helpful. After waiting for 45 minutes at Palma Airport before the bus departed, we were dropped off in Puerta Pollensa at 10 pm, not at our hotel, and had to ask people for directions as this was our first visit. My daughter and I have recently used Resort Hoppa from Palma Airport to Puerta Pollenca and return.
